Problems With Wyverns

Post by Relemant »

Hi ALL,

I have a problem with the game. 95% of the time when a wyvern dies (not baby, not full grown or greater), the game simply freezes. It happens when I summon one, and it gets killed, or if I kill an enemy one. Right now I am going through the forest and there is the encampment with one or 2 wyverns there.

I am running Win XP, Atllon 2100 with 256 ram. This seems to be only time it freezes. I have tried to lure them away, kill off screen with cloud kill, death fog..ect...no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's a weird bug, very weird.
The only thing I can think of is that there is something wrong with the weavernhead that they drop when killed.

HAve you patched the game? or have any upgrades installed?
Else, try backupping you're savegame and re-installing.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Well, after reading about different "crashes" on Bioware's forums, I tried turnig off the 3D acceleration in the config setup. Havnt had a problem since. I also found that when Demons die, it freezes too. Dunno...maybe somthing to do with flying monsters..lol.

I can get through the problems, but without the 3D acceleration, it is very jumpy, especially with 5=10 active spells going on.
