Disappearing equipment

Post by Withnail »

Anyone ever notice that on occasion, when a character is raised by Harper's Call or Raise Dead, their equpment vanishes? This has happened to me twice, both times the character was in a "black" are of the screen, and now I can't find their stuff. I lost the Flail of the Ages this way. I suppose I could cheat and re-create my kit, but sheesh!

A consideration..

I believe some fear-type spells can cause a character to drop a weapon/weapons. You can always use TAB to highlight the weapons & gear lying about -even if they're in a black area . Losing the Flail would be a bummer. Hope this helps.

Just by the sound of your post it would appear as though your not picking up the characters equipment after they die. It doesn't stay on their dead body, it drops to the ground where they died. Maybe your just having trouble selecting the gear, the post was just written in a way that this came to mind first...

Good point

As Forgotten said, the gear will be where the character died, not on them when rezzed.

No, I know the gear leaves them and isn't on them when raised. It's just that if they are in a black area of the screen, it's sometimes hard to find the gear, later. Also, it seems that if you mistakenly leave the area (having been all caught up in healing and looting the place for other goodies) and then return, all the crap you didn't take (plain swords, etc.) is there but your raised character's good are gone. Kind of an annoying bug, but fixable, using the cheat panel (except for the Flail of Ages).
