TOB... not a challenge !

All the abilities that the thief get in tob make the game far to easy !!!!
I mean he can make everything and use every item in the game !!!!
Potions,Swords,Scrolls,Rings,Armors. etc...
And he can even use special character weapons like jan's stuff !
HIS A THIEF FOR CRYING OUT LOUD !!!!
Not a walking Adventure mart !!!!

The thief can learn the ability called alchemy, and can create one of these 1/day.

1. Potion of mater thievery
2. Potion of perception
3. Potion of extra healing
4. Potion of superior healing
5. Potion of regeneration
6. Antidote
7. Oil of speed
8. Potion of frost giant strenght (only usable by rogues.)

Hell, they can even use the crosymer that only paladins can use !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't beleive we'll see a lot of theives running aroung weilding Carsomyr and wearing Full Plate Mails. They only become weak fighters since they cannot hide in shadows, backsatb and they get huge penalties to their skills and there THAC0 a fighter's THAC0.

This ability will be usefull for bigger sheilds and helmets though.

My question would be how in the hell would an half-orc thief fit into a jan's armor? Is it possible? That must be a tight fit.

Or isn't keldorn's armor made specifically for him? Would Jan still be capable of touching the ground?

The list goes on...

Swashbucklers are adequate fighters and cannot backstab anyway.
