Funnest Solo

Post by CrownHead »

Lately I've notived a lot of solo threads so I thought I'd make my own.

There are a lot of different possibilties, and I'm kind of debating with myself wether I should solo or not, so I thought it might be fitting to ask the good people here their opinion.

What would you consider the funnest character to solo with? Personally I enjoyed the Jester.
No probalo.

The "best" ones are those that don't limit you to one strategy. The bards and multis then imo, or the swashbuckler. I don't like the duals much because of the transition period.
My vote would have to go to the F/M/T, elven of course.

I soloed a Berserker-Mage and found the transition period very interesting. You basically get to play three wholly different characters after another; a dumb warrior, a pure mage and something with the strengths of both and almost none of the weaknesses. Some things are extremely challenging for one of the pure classes, forcing you to rethink strategies.

The transition from Mage to full dual doesn't take that long. You gain the first few levels incredibly quickly due to the amounts of XP in BG2, plus you have a huge head start on level 1 Mages with your awesome hit points and equipment.

I actually soloed one dual classed character that I feel could be one of the better ones. The swashbuckler/mage dualed at level 10. Shorter transition period and thieving skills make for a well rounded character equipped to handle every situation in the game.
