Waking up to reality can be like a slap in the face. Hurts like hell, but it sure does clear up the old eyesight a bit.

The best thing that can happen: You get cheered up by finding out things weren't as bad as you thought they were.

The worst possible scenario: Upon waking up from your nightmare to reality, you find that you suddenly miss the nightmare you were having.

Alright, these are two by me, I posted them before in an old thread, and I might post a new one in a bit.

I am darkness

I am sadness, sorrow beyond belief
I am anger, black rage without relief
I am deceit, for trust no longer exists
I am remoreless, icy like a snowy mist

I am paranoid, seeing lies in all truth
I am emotion, plaguing the minds of youth
I am torture, making you cry without reason
I am betrayel, flying from a crime of treason

I am chaos, causing disorder wherever I go
I am power, corrupting the few that know
I am confusion, a soul that needs cleaning
I am insanity, forever screaming without meaning

I am pain, body and limbs on fire
I am evil, deserving of everyone's ire
I am lost, without a guiding light
I am fear, living only to cause fright

I am ugliness, without a place to shine
I am death, the lifeless grip of time
I am lonely, happiness has forever left me
I am suicide, no longer a will to see

I am hate, a blind shout of flame
I am guilt, a person to which lay blame
I am despair, slipping from the edge of darkness
I am righteous, the last stand against madness

Angrydespairingpeace

The boiling rage of mass hate,
Spiraling downward from the gate,
Thresholds passed with no looking back,
Control in which we all lack.

Burrowing down, hiding oneself,
Feeling despair in no small wealth.
Cannot stand up, cannot back down,
A face perpetually in a frown.

A sense of peace in the black of night,
Peace in the silence without any light,
Beauty of nature a formidable sight,
A last hope of sanity in this world of blight.

I've thought about it, but never really tried to put them to music. The way I write though, I like my poems to have kind of a lyrical quality.

I'll post one of my favourites that I've writen tomorrow....I'm watching the Leaf game right now, its double overtime, so I can't tear myself away.

Hmm....maybe I'll give it a shot sometime. This next one I wrote to a friend, it was an actual experience. She started crying when I gave it to her....and we patched things up. Its my favourite, too.

Lost a friend?

What I've heard, I cannot believe
Like I can never even notice all the love I recieve
But what you see, and that you feel you were led
Like you never even trusted a single word that I said
I never tried to lie or hide anything at all
But it seems truth is the only reason I fall
You think I'm stupid, sad, pathetic and weak?
That I lie, hide, and search for compliments to speak?
I'm really trying to be a better person than you
Accept what I'm told rather than find conclusions so few
Conclusions that are always the same
That defy everything I tried to achieve in this game

I'll be your friend no matter the cost

No matter if you think I'm places that I shouldn't belong
