Besides, when you think about it, the staying power of BG2 is pretty remarkable. Other games have kept a large following over time: Star Control 2, The Quest by Fire series, Ultima VII; but none of them supported the kind of scripting that allowed user-generated modules. BG2 remains fresh in part because of its community. I only wish we all had 24/7 to spend on developing it.
