Pants and Sneak

Post by LegendaryThief »

hey i just created my thief character and Went to Ghostgate, went downstairs In the tower of dusk, killed the smith and took the (almost) full set of Glass. I am missing the pants tho, i want to know where i can find a set of glass pants to steal or buy if i have to.

Secondly, How can i get my sneak skil up?
I mean i can try to sneak behind people sometimes but that just doesnt cut it, what is a good way to get my sneak up fast? and has anyone ever actually done a successful backstab attack without using illusion?

If anyone can let me know, thanks...stuipid chitin pants

SPOILERS!

Glass greaves:
  • Ald-Ruhn Fighter's Guild - you can get them as part of the guild's quests
  • Druscashti - dwemer ruin in Ashlands east of Khuul
  • Hlaalu ancestral vaults in Vivec
Pay a trainer to get your sneak skill up. When traveling, sneak instead of running. Get the Amulet of Shadows to help with sneaking at lower skill levels.

You do critical damage, actually - a text message will pop up if you're successful.

Regarding sneaking - it will improve faster when you're close to someone, but will also improve outside towns so long as creatures are nearby. It will even improve when you're attacking someone while sneaking. Since I have my PC sneak all the time, this is one skill that increases very fast for me.
