Perfect Party

Post by LegendaryThief »

I Was Wondering what everyone thought would be the perfect party combination for Icewind dale 2, and a few good weapon spoilers, i tend to create parties, and having fun hoping they will work. I mean what are the essential Characters? I know it says 2 fighters, wizard, cleric, rogue and 1 of choice but 3 fighters a pure wizard, pure cleric and pure rogue get a little boring dont they? i cannot find a good way to integrate fun classes like druid, monk, and some multi-classed characters to make the group effective. Anyone have any ideas or any good pointers for me in my party design? and or Character designs?

I don't think there is something like the perfect party.

But you can axperiement alot, a monk is a very good fighter for example, so you can drop a fighter.
A druid can replace the cleric,
andfor myself I realy like to have more spellcasters in my party,
maybe a sorcerer or a bard (who mke good leaders)

Try experimenting with different party's
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

This is just my opinion so talk what you will of it. I like to have every class covered and I feal if I have to overlap a class it would be cleric because lot's of healing usually means longer game time between rest.
My party
1)Bard10/Ranger11
2)Paladin21
3)wizard21
4)druid21
5)barbarian4/cleric9/thief8
9)fighter6/cleric15
None of my charactors get exp. penalties. Slecting the right race and class helps.
I like this system because I can utilize all the cool specific class items. If I could I would like to add monk to my line up, maybe the druid. But just about every one of my charactors can heal, exept the mage. Also instead of fighters, I like the ranger or paladin better.
I would think if you could, multi class your thief.

Hmm, Does having that high level wizard have lots of benefits?

Bard/Ranger, does it really work good?

So heres what i think would make a good party

1.) Fighter/Cleric
2.) Bard/Ranger
3.) Barbarian/Thief ( for rage for damage bonus)
4.)Wizard

Cannot think of anything else right now .

Bard/Ranger - Half - elf
Wizard - Moon elf
Monk - Human
Fighter/Druid - Dwarf ( hehehhee)

I think that a party like this is worthwile to go to the end, can i get some advice on weapon proficiencies for each fighter anyone? please?
