Puzzle Room in Asylum

This is driving me NUTS!!

I can't figure out how to get the objects into the hands of the statues to complete the puzzle!

Please, please, please....can someone explain how to move the objects from the inventory or floor to the proper location to solve the puzzle?

Here's something from one of the walkthroughs :

You’ll find a chest with a bunch of items, and a note explaining that the items must be matched to their correct riddles by placing them in the urns of the statues that give the riddles. Here is the solution:
x815 y1110 Grinning Skull x850 y1145 Hourglass
x735 y1225 Mirror x650 y1285 Gagged Man
x590 y1250 Sword Medallion x510 y1200 Sun Medallion
x435 y1150 Sundial x400 y1110 Jar of Water
x485 y1050 Worn Out Boots x600 y970 Gold Circlet
x665 y995 Star Medallion.

Press x to read the position.
You can guess most of them by yourself - tho there are a couple pretty wierd for example "name me and so you shall brake me" = gagged man IIRC.

Hit <TAB> to highlight all the containers. Once you see the containers, you will see where to put the stuff. Just click on the appropriate container, and put the object in just like you would a chest or something. I can't remember the order the objects are supposed to go, but I remember that its almost the same order as they're in the chest in the center of the room. Gamebanshee's walkthrough should list the order.

Note: TAB key only works with the expansion installed.

Each statue is holding a bowl or something, if I remember correctly. You can give the items that way to the statues.

Also, Gamebanshee has a walkthrough detailing which items go where.

I had pretty much figured out where each of the items belonged (with a little help from the walk-throughs). I was pulling my hair out trying to actually get the items into the hands of the statues.

I finally figured it out, though: step up to the statue and click on the bowl (as if to pick something up). This brings up the items in your inventory (in the right-side panel of the screen). Clicking on the item in your inventory moves it to the left panel of the screen, effectively moving it into the statue's hands/bowl.

My impatience will ultimately be the death of me!

Guys, when you ask or answer a question that gives away anything in the game, please put "spoilers" in your topic/reply line. We've gotten complaints before about people opening threads looking for hints at best, and finding the giveaway to a problem right before their eyes.
