New "Original Saga" version

Post by Georgi »

Does anyone know if patches like the exp cap remover and ease of use pack are compatible with the repackaged 3-disc version of Baldur's Gate?

Thanks

I have that set, and every place I've seen that had a patch said specifically NOT to use a patch with The Original Saga set. That being said, I've never tried any patches, so I can't swear to it.

This is somewhat of a strange thing I noticed.

From what I recall with my Paladin character, the combat soundtracks hardly seemed to vary. Alot of the tracks on the soundtrack album don't seem to be present. Anyone notice this?

I've never heard of this version. Can someone tell me what's in it?
Don't think you know all the answers.

I picked mine up used, so I might have been missing stuff. But it had 3 discs, plus a soundtrack disc. It was all one install, so you couldnt install BG and ToSC seperately. Also came with some kinda large BG trading card, lol.

Well, if it had Sarevok on it, then it was actually a limited-edition lithograph of him. I got a copy of that with my box of the Original Saga.

I didn't get that. Thievery! :D

I know that you shouldn't use the official patches with the new version, since they already have the latest ones, but I haven't seen any reference to this version of the game on any other patches... so I guess I won't risk it. Thanks guys. :)

You can always back up your saved game and give it a shot. Nothing a reinstall wont cure, hehe.
