Lloth's vengence attacks on Sola

Post by UncleScratchy »

How many attacks are there on Sola before he is free of Lloth's vengence? I've managed to get past the first two with a lot of dying and resurrecting and reloading but they're coming at the most inopportune times. The first attack came as I was about to enter the Sewers to get Kangaxx's bones from the lich - not much maneuvering room down there. The second attack came as I was already in the middle of my fight with Fierkrag (I think I missed Sola's warning). Should I just drift about killing time waiting for the attacks so that I'm not in the middle of killing Bodhi or the Shade Dragon when the next assassin shows up?

Also does anyone know if the elven holy water is really necessary for completing the Bodhi quest? I'd like to upgrade Daystar but it takes up two holy waters. Does purifying the blood pools really make fighting the vamps any easier?

From what I recall there are two attacks on Sola in SoA and one attack in ToB. Though my memory is foggy, so somebody else might have a more detailed recollection.

In that case perhaps I'm over the worst of it. I just killed the Shade Lord and it was interesting because with Sola in the party the SL tried to persuade Sola to join the dark side, ally with him and become a lich. Sola refused and called on the Moon goddess for strength (which may or may not have happened) but the SL got ticked off and countered by calling on Lloth for help and revenge spider was spawned making the battle that much harder. Had to resurrect three of my lame butt party after that fight. Surprisingly Sola survived it pretty much unscathed so maybe he did have a godly blessing on him during the fight.

Shadow Lord's call of Lloth has nothing to do with Lloth's revenge, to punish Solaufein, so to speak. The attacks against Solaufein are...

S P O I L E R
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

... the revenge Spiders first, and Archryssa second. In the first case, you fight on Solaufein's side, while in the second, Solaufein has to fight Archryssa alone.

So, if you haven't met Archryssa yet, you should expect her. Problem is that while Solaufein warns you about the revenge spiders' coming --it usually happens at waking up, morning or night, as he has had a nightmare-- you are not warned about Archryssa. She comes shortly after, but I don't recall the exact number of days or, hours.

Good Luck!
