sunray daystar ??!!!!!

Post by Richard »

i tried the sunray spell ability from the daystar on a few mummies and a skeleton warrior. Well, i got one word for it: HOLY**** !!
that thing did more than 1000 (!!!!) damage to those poor boneguys.

anybody know how that can be?
i mean: its abilty is 3d6 + 1d6 per level

i used it with a level 10 ranger, the max damage should be 78.

It's a bug. Somehow the result goes lower than 0 and cycles back from the maximum which is 1024 or something. But hey, you don't mind do you? I know I don't!!!

I just made a post that relates to another bug that is spell/engine-related. Who knows, but I might try looking into what's wrong with some of these effects...

Undead don't have a normal "soul" per se, so are immune to instant death soul-sucking spells. Ths makes them immune to Slay effects such as Finger Of Death.

So, the ultra-high damage is a way of the game getting around that. >1000 HP damage will certainly destroy any undead. Not a bug.
