Any really good ram ring uses?

Post by spoogemonkey »

I keep thinking there will be a cliff I can knock someone off of....

Any other really good uses/or situations where it's use is advantageous?

If you do it right you can knock some baddies into pre-placed traps (especially useful vs Kangaxx) :D

There's the firepit in the Temple Ruins. If you stand at the West end, the skeleton warriors will have to cross the fire to get to you, taking damage all the time. Then when they get close enough to hit you, blast them back so they have to cross the pit again.

Another place is the crushing walls in the first level of Bodhi's Spellhold dungeon. I've knocked the clay golem in there, but it doesn't always seem to work.

Also, the ROR is useful for knocking enemies back in that escape from any cloudkill or web spell.

spoilerz ahead!

Just for fun: Ever played Pool?

There's a certain way to get three rings of the Ram (check the thread of cheese by UserUnfriendly in the un-thinkable case you haven't downloaded his cheese-guide yet.)

First you pick an opponent with a lotta hitpoints.
Line up your chars around the victim to where you expect to launch him/her.

Cast Bigby's Crushing hand... BANG....Stunnned!
Right to your mage... Cast Lower Resistance..... Powerword Stun...fighter:ring of the Ram.... BANG.... stunnned an punched in a corner with a new char (with ring)waiting....BANG....to the next corner....Other char...BANG....to the final corner where someone has the staff of the RAM....BANG...Final: Assassination 7times backstab....CHOP....Dead...

Now, how's THAT for a combo??

I LOVE TO PLAY POOL

Here is a post of mine from another board where I got to play test a new enhanced battles mod

Another way that works is move to the left, send the tanks to wipe out the skellies in the far right corner, and put the lich on the left into the far left corner with the ring of the ram (just like playing pool) ............................................

Outside my strategy was to divide and conquer. The ring of the ram worked well. You can drive a lich to the far side of the graveyard. Sometimes he would do that “where are they ?” thing and cast that spell where everyone is teleported around.............

I am not sold on this idea however; some of the battles outside the cript were really fun. Outside is a whole different battle. Once I used the ring of the ram to knock a lich into the pathway that runs beside the graveyard, the militia attacked the lich (they did a good job of keeping him busy till he cut lose with an ADHW lol lol lol )
Here is the URL for the thread

Or If you just drop the ring into a jem bad or a bag of holding it has an infinite number of charges, its better to have a couple so you can play hockey

Its Minsc down the blue line, litch comes up to intercept Minsc, Minsc passes to Mazzy, she shoots SHE SCORES !!

With a couple of these you can toss the big lich boys around till they drop dead

If you are interested in some fun upgraded combat click here to go to down load site for the battles mod :)

Still in Bata public format input (positive and/or constructive) would I am sure be welcome
