Uninstalling grand mastery patch

Post by Bruce Lee »

Is it possible? I installed it thinking it would be cool, and it is. But now I would rather play the game the way it was meant to be played but I dont want to install the whole game again. Can it be done?
Haven't played for a while but feeling the urge once again hehe.

the grandmastery fix is a WeiDU Mod, which means you should be able to uninstall it. Depending on how you installed it (as part of ease-of-use or by itself), run the install file (setup-ease.exe or whatever) and you will be asked for each component you don't have installed if you want to install it, and for each you do have, if you want to remove it.
After you've done that, your GM melee attacks should be back at 3/2 + other bonuses (for a fighter between levels 7 and 13 that should be 2 one-handed in total).

I installed it by itself. I know the ease-of-use mod lets you choose when running the exe file. When I installed it I was just asked to extract certain files to the override directory. I guess I could remove those files but I dont remeber which they were. Anyone knows?

the folder for GM in the ease-mod contains only 2 files, WSPATCK.2DA and WSPECIAL.2DA. Check in your override folder, if those two are there, try moving them somewhere else (don't delete, in case something is screwed up).
Start a new game to test if it worked, it may not be changed in existing saves (dunno, but could be).
