Scayde, Chan, Eery, Tammy and Silur. :)

Scayde's voice is bubbly nice, Chan spoke like a gentleman  :D , Eery sounded like a DJ with his "Ohhh, yeah!" , Tammy's voice reminded me of one of my well-behaved students :p who seemed to have sunny days all the time while Silur sounded serious even when he habitually responds in agreement in one word "Yup!" :p (I guess, Anders must have something to do with Silur's disposition. :D )

@Sensei: LMAO! Ned and Big Mac will never forgive you for spilling the beans. :D

Edit- The first SYMian I spoke to was Tammy. We were chatting and I got curious so I ask his number then I called him. Same goes for Eery and Scayde. Then Chan and Scayde called me to greet me during Christmas. Silur was a surprise visit (for both me and him  ).

I've never spoken to any SYMer in any other way than internet, though I'd like to... If they're willing to make the long distance payment. :D

I have a theory, however. Internet is better for making all-around friends. You tend to notice people's quirks and annoying habits if you spend too much time with them in real life, whereas you get the good side on internet. People don't prod at you like RL friends do (unless you ask them too, of course), and you really see people's better halves if you just talk occasionally on e-net.

However, meeting people in RL and going to *real* bars is probably much more fun than getting digitally buzzed. :D

Talking to Mah...

Well, since the cat's out of the bag..... :D
*HUG*

I loved getting a chance to talk with you Mah....You have a wonderful voice, and sound just like I expected you to........If any one wonders what Mah sounds like..imagine a bottle of realy fizzy soda pop....all bubbly and happy and light hearted. He has a beautifully melodic quality to his speach, and very out going .

Mah, I am going to have to call you again very soon :) ....*HUG* :)

*sigh* It seems this thread took off and I wasn't even around to participate... The perils of a day job ! :D Actually.. I do have computer access at work but I don't dare check in... I am on contract and I'm hoping to be made permanent.. ;)

@Scayde lol! I can't say I know much about Zsa Zsa Gabor.. but for some reason I feel concerned  ;)

@Chan,
I tend to agree, the phone makes a definite difference in terms of communication. On the phone you get intonation.. and the entire human warmth of hearing a person's voice... It is difficult to duplicate that online. ... But... *cough*... I'm sure you must have been hallucinating when you heard those screams! :D

I have spoken to five Symers on the phone.. and each experience has been wonderful; I only wish that long distance rates were not as nasty ;) Either that, or I wish that icqphone was less prone to technological hiccups... reminds me.. I really should replace my headphones sometime soon... :o

Whilst I do have sunny days all the time, I resent being categorised into the poster-boys category. I like causing a bit of mayhem every now and again.

Apart from Mah, naturally I've spoken regularly to Ode since we share the same city although it never seems like it when you count the shockingly long distance between us and also Georgi during her few months stay in Perth.

If anybody cares to visit exotic, mysterious Philadelphia, I'll be only too glad to meet 'em, wine 'em and dine 'em. ;)

If this includes as many Philly cheesesteak sandwiches I can eat, I'll be heading your way soon. :D

The donkey show wasn't enough for Ned?

That's bad enough in itself. :D

@Scayde: Who am I referring to, you ask? Simple...go look in the mirror, sweetness, and you'll see exactly who I met. :) *big kiss*

Now you know how I hate being tickled... :o

@DW: I am quite confident I was clear-headed and free of foreign substances during that first phone call. I noticed somewhat of an echo on your end of the line...eerily reminiscent of a basement, or other large, cavernous chamber. It seems I also detected the clinking of metal upon stone in the background, too...

No, I remember it all quite vividly. :D ;)

@Ysh: Very true, I am sure the weather shall be scorching. Nothing prodigious quantities of cold beer couldn't take care of, I am sure. I look forward to seeing you soon. :)

Actually, I've offered this, before. Including the ability to put up folks for a few days, at our house. So it's not big news. ;)

We could potentially meet folks in NYC, though. It's two hours drive away, but we'd be happy to greet fellow SYMers. Maybe see a few sights. Spring and fall are delightful times in the city, especially now that it's much safer (thanks to Giuliani's legacy).

We may have to do that. I had heard something about us going up to visit distant relatives in South Dakota, but I'm not sure for how long. I'll ask about the plans of the trip and see how long I'm in your state. :)

Well, I guess you see the better part of the bad side, in some cases. :D

Doesn't matter. You and I both are dead broke. It'd be a pretty short conversation. :D

You said you were banned from Mexico, right? **was thinking about relocating** :D

Thanks for clarifying :D

Hey, I ain't dead broke...I got a quarter laying around someplace

Yep, sadly, I am. Nice to know you take that into consideration before moving though. I'll take that to mean you wanna stay within reachable distance of me :D

I realise I posted this in the wrong thread, after I came back from swimming two hours ago. :D LOL, anyway:

I rang up Grunty to check up on our meeting, and shared a text with Ysh. :D That's it. Otherwise, I just turned up and scared some people.

In addition, I have met Silur, T'lainya, Enchantress, Nippy (though we have exchanged a text message :D ) and Dottie, but never spoken with them on the phone, and I have spoken with dragon wench, Thantor, Vivien, and Chanak, but am yet to meet these guys :)

OMG.....We haven't ever chatted on the phone. ..........This just won't do :o

You and T' have to PM me your phone numbers. We will get DW on the phone also per confrence call so we can plan our Mexican Invasion :D
