Redoran Cooking Secrets

Ok well im stuck on the thieves guild quest were i have to go to the mansion under skar in aldruhn to find the redoran cooking secrets, i believe i have come accross it before when i was hunting the place for the Darts of Judgement, and im not sure what i did with it. i would greatly appreciate the location of the item and possible places i could find another copy if i "miss placed it" lol. thanks for any help

It's normally in one of the chests but if you're personality/speechcraft is really high you can pursuade the counselor's wife to just give you the book. Go up to the wife and see if you don't get a dialog that brings up a discussion of the book. If you get it from her that way she says something to the effect "Take it, I don't need it to win the contest".

I've got the same problem...
somehow she likes me 100%, but I still can't find/get the recipes...
