i've decided to get Imoen as one of the first quests in my game(since i started my mage out in ToB, the npc's are higher level as well) and i finished the quests and all for Aran, and the conversation between him, my party, and Sameon about the ship and all stop right in the middle of the conversation, and i'll just be left there, un-paused, and was able to move around. i've been through this twice, and i still cannot get onto the ship, and im not sure why. does anyone know the CLUAConsole for the cheat code to warp your party to other areas in the game?

I wouldn't recommand the CLUA codes in this case, it could mess up you're storyline,
Have you tried the latest patch etc.

And what do you mean with? I started my mage in ToB?

I hope you saved a lot. My experience is occasionally without apparent reason quests and dialogue do go bananas. imho it has something to do with certain variables which get disrupted somewhere along the way. The fact you start out in SOA a character spawned in TOB does not help I think. The only solution I know is to reload to a point before the quest starts so all variables are set right again.

one exception. some quests ARE bugged and need a patch to be completed but the one you decribe doesn't ring any bells with me

I don't think the ToB character will make any difference. I often spawn high level characters just to import back and piss about with things.

I haven't played through for a while, because my copy is having problems of it's own, but usually if conversation hangs I just play back through. If it does it more than twice I'd consider a re-install, or patch, or playing to that point with another character, just to see.

is saemon still there etc?

you could try to spawn him with cluaconsole, i had something liek that on brynnlaw, saemon didn't appear so i clua'd him and got the good dialog etc.

well, i tried un-installing and re-installing the game, and it hasn't worked. Saemon is still there, but what happens, is i'll be in the middle of a diologue with him, and he'll just stop, and i'll be stuck. what variables could be messed up? how do i fix them? i have shadowkeeper, but i just assume stay out of the variables section so i don't mess up the game. and where would i get the patches for this? any help would be greatly appreciated. this is soo annoying...

Have you tried the Baldurdash patches? The links are provided in the BG Crossroads Sticky Thread above. Alternatively, you can try to do a search on this forum for Saemon. Some of the bugs have been discussed here before, iirc.

Do keep us posted if you need more help.
