Fighters guild quests question (possible spoilers)

Post by Xorekil »

I am on the quest to get the code book. How can I get it without killing her and the others? I am a Imperial Knight.

Usually you'll need to use persuasion to get it. A good way to boost your appeal to the opposite sex (I'm assuming you're male) is to use a bottle of Telvanni bug musk. You can by it from the Khajit in the basement of the Balmorra mages guild, right by the transport lady.

This subject has been discussed here several times. Do a search for the previous threads but, in short,

SPOILER.....

apparantly the quest to go and get the Code Book is not a good one - this you'll find out if you speak to Percius Mercius in the Fighters Guild in Aldruhn. He'll tell you why it's not a good idea to get the Code Book for the Fighters Guild in Balmora.

Anyway, it's up to you how you play your game. I never managed to get this book through persuasion. She just didn't give it to me so I everntually got annoyed and killed her.

You can always steal it from her using sneak. just make sure you have a high sneak and security skill and have as much chameleon as possible. invisible yourself as well :)

with about 40 for sneak, 40 for security, invsibility and 30% chameleon it only took me about half a dozen goes before managing to nick it without getting expelled from thieves guild.
