Writ Quest Bug

Post by Lord Donovan »

Has any had this problem. I go kill Navil and Ranes Ienith (both). It is recorded in my journal that I executed both of them. When I go talk to the Morag Tong to collect, they tell me that the writ is for both Navil and Ranes, and I have to kill both to get the reward. I already have!!!

Thanks,

Usually what happens when you complete a quest in advance is that the quest giver will treat the situation as if you haven't done it, thereby recording it in your journal.

Say 'goodbye', and then restart the conversation referring to the quest if necessary, and the quest giver will acknowledge that you have done the quest.

Tried that many times. Still no reward for the writs. And each time that I ask, my reputation with the Morag Tong drops by 5 points.....

I have never joined the MT, so you may indeed need the Writ first. You can get the writ by a console code, but I cannot help with that.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't specific enough. I obtained the writs to kill the two brothers. Spent forever trying to find them. Finally found and executed both of them. Then went back to the writ-giver and he says that I need to kill both to fulfill the writ (meanwhile my journal says that I did, in fact, kill both). Repeated goodbyes and asking about the writ only provides the same result - plus decreases my reputation with the writ-giver each time I ask).

Thanks for the clarification; yes, I think you have a 'bug'. As I said, I have never joined MT, and so have no experience. Sorry.

I have had this problem before, and it just came up again.

For you genius's out there:
-Writ to kill the dudes is in my pack...
-Both brother's have died...(many times! :( )
-Both deaths update the journal, and it says they are both indeed dead.
-The guioldmaster says that both of the brothers need to be dead, and that I should complete the writ...

So... what's up?

This won't work on Xbox
