Find high level spells!

Post by hyvel »

I'm soling a fighter/mage (in chapter 2) and i'm quite high level (able to cast 7th level spells) the thing is, I have VERY few 6th and 7lvl spells.

Can someone please tell me a location where I can find some GOOD spells?!

Well if you have the money, Waukeen's Promenade\The Adventurer's Mart, there's a character in the back of the store that specializes in mage scrolls.

I seem to remember a thief in the bridge district who is only there at night and buys/sells stuff. Has a few cool spells. North side of the map opposite the Twisted Rune and Lich-bits houses

There really is no good place to buy intermediate level spells. Lady Yuth (in the back of the adventure mart) has a few and Jayes (SE Waukeen's Promenade at night) has a few more. I think there are also a few in the various merchants in the Underdark. But generally you have to loot these from defeated monsters.

Ironically, it is easier to get 9th level spells (and a few 8th) since Ribald has them in his special stash when you return from rescuing Imoen.

the duregar AND the svnerblein(?) in the underdark BOTH have better spells than the drow!

The drow don't particularly value magecraft. Only men practice such stuff...

tradmeet has some nice ones, if you look in all the tents...and never forget cowled enforcers are a resource, not a pain...

if you did NOT pay the extortionistic gold for a magic user license in the city, up to about 6 groups will spawn in when ever you cast a spell in the city proper..then rest and repeat the mugging...

I usually save, then cast a spell, and kill off the enforcers..I've gotten protection from energy, absolute immunity and other nice high level spells that way. most of the really good stuff is down in the underdark.

Good point but the treasure is random. I suppose you could save before each encounter, and reload if you don't get something useful, but that can get kind of tedious.

Do what I do and raid houses, fatten your wallet and kill a few annoying rangers. Just don't attack the ones that run from you. I'd say the mansion in the bridge district.
