Reviving in Underdark

Post by Xschtar »

My main character is a lvl 15 Wizard Slayer and he is the only one who survived after a battle in the Beholder Pit in the Underdark. Now he can't cast spells so he cannot revive the other party members. There is no way out of the underdark and as far as I've seen, there is no priest either.

So how to get my party back?
Please help!

yeow

Your only cleric died? bummer...

You don't have a Rod of Resurection do you? I don't leave home without one.

Without a cleric or Rod - you only have two options:

1) go back to an earlier save and fight again and take better care of you cleric this time..... or

2) cheat: and CLUA in a rod of resurection - raise the cleric and then he can, eventually, raise the rest of the party - unless they got blown to pieces or reduced to -10 hit points or less

The proper choice is to try again....but you can't have gotten to level 15 without knowing that already.....

Problem is that the Rod of Ressurection (RODS03) comes unidentified. I don't think there are any services in the Underdark that offer identification, and since he can't use scrolls... well, could be wrong though. If worst comes to worst try using Shadowkeeper.

...Or reload from prior to the battle. I trust you saved the game at that point? ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I thought you could get party members revived in Ust Natha, but maybe I'm wrong... although I'm not sure I would want Lloth looking in on me.

IIRC, there are absolutely no temples in the Underdark. My suggestion, if you cannot reload to a previous point, is to raise your characters by enabling key commands and pressing 'Ctrl + R' over their portraits. It should fix them up just fine ;) .

Better to *avoid* the CTRL-R cheat.
It will remove even permanent effects you are unaware of.
Not sure but this COULD also include kit bonuses, often granted via permanent effect.

I seem to remember it also destroys your stored triggers and sequencers, but leaving the special abilities icons.
That is a really hard situation to recover, since you can't use them, but you can't cast them again until they're used...

I checked in SK. It did not remove my Swashbuckler bonuses. I am not sure about other classes and abilities, though - I will have to check.
