Mods you love

Post by Minerva »

Come on, admit it. You are a mods user. Maybe not an addict (just yet), but you love them. You probably start thinking you can't live without them now. So, tell everyone about your experience: what kind of mods you have downloaded and enjoy using in Morrowind?

Let me start, then. Since I haven't finished the game (and I have this game for long time :o ), I avoid anything which add extra quests/dungeon/territory/race/birthsign/class. I also don't use anything which gives me super weapon/armour/spells. I use more for having a comfortable life in Morrowind than winning game.

I added:
-A house in Balmora (no new NPC nor weapons) for nice place to sleep and keep all my staffs.
-A mod to change my potion bottle designs (easier to identify and organize my medicine cabinet)
-A mod to give Creepy more money (I can't waste my precioius time for barter, you know. I only did that for Creepy, though. No new merchants and no one else has more money than original. I swear!)
-A Travel by Sea mod (a few more new travel routes from Seyda Neen.)
-A house in Dagon Fel
-Real Signpost for better signs

That's about it. Now, it's your turn!

1. FOGET THE WIFE MOD - They are much more trouble than they are worth! :D :D :D
2. Siege at Firemoth is at http://www.elderscrolls.com, find the downloads page and you are away to the races.
3. Creepermoremoney and master_index are here:http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/mods/mods_sql.asp. Of the 4 'view mods by..' boxes, choose the lower right and search for the title.
4. After you unzip them into the <Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind/Data Files>, check to see that they are there.
5. Use your desktop icon (or <Start>) for Morrowind to start the Main Menu. Single-left-click <Data Files>; double-left-click in the checkbox beside each mod you want to include. Punch <ok>.
6. Start Morrowind as normal. You may get some odd error messages related to the fact that your saved game didn't include something or other - ignore.
7. Enjoy.

1. Try the link in the previous post of mine "rpgplanet". They may have one there.
2. There are also many other forums and sites where you might find mods.
3. I love the feeling of invulnerability; I am quite vulnerable in real life.

Area Effects Arrows
Bitter Coast sounds
Master Index
Shakti's Temple Fences (They have 250000 gold but do not pay full price, you have to barter with them and they offer you less the more you deal with them).
Shakti's Book of Secrets
Wakim's mods for balancing spellcasting and overall game performance
LDones improved trap setting & lockpicking
Vivec expansion
Night time door locks
Bloody Oath
Whew! They add up fast.
Oh yeah, and the lluminated Order mod - Hey j0ckser or Sojouner, have you been in the Maren Ancestral Tomb and found that book about the seven Dremora Lords? I think I have a glitch 'cuz it aint there :( .

Yes - I believe someone made a rebalancing mod - check at Morrowind Summit.

My favorite plug-ins:

Area-Affect Arrows
Master Index
Rhedd's heads
Illuminated Order (highly recommended)
My plug-in containing tweaks and fixes

Of course, I have both Tribunal and Bloodmoon.

I got it from Morrowind Summit. I think it's called Potions (surprise, surprise), but I'm not sure. I'll check when I go home. It doesn't change bottles of home made potions, but it certainly made my life easier. :)

I haven't been there yet; I'll report when I have. Try to email the creator. There's usually a link for them from wherever you download. Please keep me posted as I'm in the midst of this mod.

Remember when you return from your first quest, he asks for your help in recovering a ring - I could find no ring, but that didn't affect his request of a report about my delivery of the letter.

Hmm I have a lot of mods downloaded.
The master Index
Rhedds heads
Lornas hair mods
various Zuls faces
I tried the Crystal armor mod..very pretty but very strong and tended to start appearing in every tomb I entered so I removed it
glass katana mod..nice weapon and in a good place for a strong weapon
Vivec condo mod (house with a minor cheat in Vivec...doors to every canton)
House D'Orthay mod...useful for the labeled ingredient storage containers also has a teleport system similar to the master index mod but to some towns
Underwater ruins..has a machine that changes the colour of daedric and glass weapons.
Assorted other houses including Caldera townhouse, Your Balmora residence (both nice, functional and no cheats and no bugs)
@ Jayc 15...there are tons of house mods, morrowindfiles.com and rpg planet both have sections devoted to house mods. Its a matter of findingm one in a location you want :)

I know of house mods, but haven't used one. The best place is at "rpgplanet".

You could also clear out Hlormaren. Nothing respawns there and it's huge.

Morrowind and all mods for which you have saved games should be included. Are you sure the Siege at Firemoth.esp is in your data directory? It should show up in the Main Menu | Data Files list if it is there; it won't if it isn't.

I was speaking rhetorically. I don't think there is a wife mod. I was referring to my wife - who is more trouble than she is worth. :D

I've got a mod which gives me a lift to all 4 Ashlander tribes (sort of caravan). It's for convenience.

I want a mod to give me easier travel to Ghostgate now, 'cause I had enough Cliff Racers. I might just try to create one by myself.

It's an ancient Dunmer Stronghold. Look on the paper map that came with the game; it's on the coast just south west of Balmora.
