Mods
I just installed all the BGII mods I could find - Darkest Day, Ascension, Kelsey, Valen, Solufein, Tashia and the Multi-flirt pack.
I just started playing a new game and was wondering what to expect. Please can you tell me where I find the new characters and what else is different and new in BGII with these mods installed. All I know at the moment is that the new characters will try to romance mine.
Thanks.

The BG Reference Crossroads sticky thread at the top of the page includes links to the mods you've named, and descriptions of the features in some of them.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Thanks for the info.
I've installed all these mods and am now having problems with NPCs not talking to me when they should do. They are shown as "busy" and won't enter into a dialogue.
What should I do? Should I delete the mods and reinstall them? I thought they had been installed in the right order....
Or is there a specific fix for this problem?

It is a known bug. You should have downloaded the latest patch before installing Darkest Day, the patch fixes this problem. Do you have ToB installed?

Thanks, Yshania. We uninstalled ToB because I knew that might fix the problem but apparantly the Valen romance can't be installed now.
So which patch is the latest patch?

Valen is not compatible with SoA?
Ok here is the SoA patch SoA
Here is the ToB patch ToB
The Darkest Day is now compatible with ToB (I am playing it at the moment) but you do need to take note as to which mods are compatible with which, and the order that they are installed. I seem to recall that you cannot install more than one mod that amends the dialogue.tlk files, I might be wrong here though. Check out TeamBG for more info.
Certainly re Darkest Day, you should have a clean install of SoA, ToB and the latest ToB patch installed before you install TDD and subsequently the latest TDD patch (version 1.03a)

It's a shame you didn't heed the documentation of those mods you downloaded by installing the Bioware patch FIRST.
The patch must be installed BEFORE you install mods. Installing the patch or installing TOB AFTER you have mods in place is a recipe for a broken game.
My advice to you is to start over. Uninstall BG2 entirely. Manually delete the override folder and the file called weidu.log from your BG2 directory.
Then install
SOA
TOB
TOB patch
and THEN apply mods according to the recommended order, which (if you do want to play TDD) is TDD first, then the rest.

To actually answer your question: again, I strongly suggest you read the documentation to the mods.
Kelsey is in the SW area of the Government district, not far from Keldorn's house.
Tashia is in the tavern in Trademeet.
Valen is available to join your party after (if) you agree to work for Bodhi.
Solaufein is available to join your party after you complete the Underdark.
Ascension changes the endgame and a little bit of roleplaying leading up to it.
Flirt packs just affect the core Bioware romances (Anomen/Aerie/Jaheira/Viconia.) You'll notice new interactions from them, and you can click-talk them to flirt with them. (Same applies to Kelsey and to a lesser extent to Tashia.)
TDD changes some encounters during the game, including adding bugbears to the start dungeon, etc, although most of plot such that it is kicks in after Irenicus is defeated.

here is the rule of thumb for multi mod installing...
install oldest mods first, after installing the patch.
look at the files in my computer with view details option on, and you can read the file creation and modification date.
always install the patch first, then install your oldest mod, and the next oldest, etc.
now, weidu mods can be installed in any order, but this rule is to my experience the safest.
you should ALWAYS read any readme files included in your mods, since they often contain clues about compatability and any special issues...
