1)how can I know how many charges are in a wand (identified)?

2)how can I recharge a wand?

Isn't there a little number in the corner?

You can recharge by selling the wand and buying it back.

Put the wand in one of your quickslots then close your inventory screen. Now when you click on your char you should see the number of charges left. The other way to get a feel for how many charges are left is to offer it for sale and look at the price. Any wand below 1000 gps is getting low. Keep in mind that not all wands hold the same number of charges.

SPOILERS

Besides selling the wand and buying it back you might want to have your thief drink a few potions of Master Thievery and then sell all your wands and have him steal them back fully charged. While you're at it he can clean out all the potions and enchanted weapons too. The Master Thievery potions last a long time so you have time to visit all the merchants and see what they have worth stealing. Don't forget to pickpocket merchants, coweled wizards, nobles, etc. Just save before each attempt in case you get caught.

Folks, please put "spoilers" above bits like that about the Master Thievery potion. I've already had one complaint about it from someone who thought they were just getting information about the number of charges in a wand. Thanks.
