Hi Everyone,
I'm going through BGII for the first time, and I've got a couple of questions....
1) What should I do with all of the "stuff" left over from various quests - keys, red patch of fabric, etc. Just put them in a trunk? Dump them?
2) I have completed the D'Arnise quest, but I didn't take Nalia into my party. I would kind of like to get her back, but I can 't find her anywhere. I looked in the D'Arnise Keep, but didn't see her anywhere. I can't find in my journal where she might be either...
3) #2 leads me to my third question. Who is the best mage/thief to have in my party as I head to the asylum and beyond? Jan, Nalia, Imoen? I've gotten partial to Jan, but...
Thanks for the anticipated replies...
Two Quick Questions
1. Just throw it in some container you're sure to remember the location of. I always use the lion's head statue in Waukeens Promenade one or two levels up from the Adventurer's Mart.
2. If you're a fighter and have taken the stronghold she should be in the same room as the Dojo dude, if not I've seen her waiting at the keep gates, but I would think she might even go back to the Copper Coronet although I'm not really sure.
3. Best mage/thief in the game is Jan hands down. He's the only thief in the game that is still gaining levels and will be there for the whole game(oops spoiler). I really wish they would've a Fighter/Thief NPC. But Jan's the best. He's got cool gear, funny comments, and he's just plain awesome.

Welcome to the Forum.
1. Yes, put the stuff in a chest. I usually pick one in the Copper Coronet or one in my stronghold, as I visit these a fair bit.
2. If you didn't take the Keep as your stronghold (you must be a fighter for that) then Nalia will be in the Copper Coronet.
3. Nalia is the best mage, Jan is the best theif. Personally I always take Imoen as she is a major part of the game & my character grew up with her. Her theif skills are good enough to get through the game. Throw on the two theif rings when you need them and she is even better.
