Undead Hunter

Post by King In Yellow »

Still playing through for the first time. (I get maybe an hour a day to play).....curious to know though if anyone has used the undead hunter and if it has any use. I realize that you have to be lawful good, but since there are so many undead (at least up to the point that I have reached) I wonder if it makes sense to be one......any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have been lurking here for about two weeks and have not seen this topic yet so I thought I would ask.

In the latter stages a Undead hunter would not be that benificial, but if you like an extra advantage aginst the vamps. then go for it.
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

i am using an undead hunter at the moment, they are really good. With great saving throws, turn undead and the best thing is being immune to level drain and hold. I strongly reccomend them, howver it may not be everyones cup of tea

Thanks for the input.....I am playing (of course) a half orc barbarian......and I was thinking about the next time through.....The only drawback is my dislike of the Lawful Good thing....makes me queasy thinking about it.

I've played through the game once already, and I'm working on beating it a second time. I decided to try and Undead Hunter this time out, and it's fun. Really.

Sure, you have to be lawful good... in theory. But anyone who's played the game for any real length of time would probably realize that while you're allowed to be LG, the game's story really doesn't hold well with that idea. You end up having to do quite a few things that a truly LG character just wouldn't do.

If you can get past that, though, well... an undead hunter with Carsomyr can pretty much take down an entire vampire coven all by himself... lot of HPs and immunity to level drain. Beautiful...

yeah lawful good alignment means squat really, i played first with a ranger who was chaotic good and there was no real differnece in what you can and cant do in terms of alignment, as long as you dont kill innocents (ie just start attacking a villager for no reason) then you will not really have any problems keeping your paladin status
