Lady looking for lost ring in pond quest question? might be spoilers from replys

OK so I came across this lady who lost her ring in a pond. I can't seem to find it in the pond. Anyone know where in the pond it is or a way to find it? I have tried the detect spells but they never seem find anything in the pond.

It's not a magic ring so detect enchantment won't work. It's hard to find though, about halfway up north/south and close to the rocks on the left. If that doesn't help there's a screenshot with a spoiler here ring

The first time I tried to find it it took me awhile... Try looking at noon and casting some night-eye on yourself...

Forget about the ring. You have the good fortune to be about to acquire one of the most underrated items in MW.

SPOILER: This whole thing is a swindle. The 'young woman' has a partner who will start shooting arrows at you the moment you touch the ring. BUT you won't see her accomplice because she's using the Amulet of Shadows (Chameleon 80% for 60 sec). The partner is probably on the far side of the pond. If you scan the area carefully, you'll see her. You can kill both with no qualms.

that amulet is an excellent item indeed..

now some people think that you really need 100 percent cameleon to be mr. invisible...

but I read in a faq somewhere that its dependent on your level...so 80% means that for anyone up to 10 levels above you, you have an 80% chance of being invisible...more than good enough almost everywhere, once you move up to high level...

and its got a LOT of charges, enough to be chameleoned for hours...
