Wizard Slayer inate MR

Post by Baked Goods »

....wooow, its been a while but im back....... playing a WS with ToB and patches, no mods.

My WS kit says i start with 14%MR and gain 1% every level until level 20 where i get 5% and 1% alternativley.

Is this correct, i know the kit was updated with ToB, have they forgotten to alter the kit write up??

My WS started on 8%MR and has increased by 1% every level

What happened to the 14%?????

Is SK the only option??

Thanks for your replies :)

According to the GameBanshee spec sheet the MR should be 2% per level.
Resistance to Tyrants is Service to God.

Quote from "character viewer" in start menu:

WIZARD SLAYER: These warriors have been specially trained by their sect to excel in hunting and attacking spellcasters of all kinds.

Advantages:
- For each successful hit on an opponent, 10% cumulative spell failure penalty is applied.
- Innate magic resistance starts at 14% and gains 1% per level until level 20, then alternates between 5% and 1% each level thereafter

Disadvantages:
- May not use ANY magic items (potions other than healing potions, scrolls, rings, amulets, cloaks, etc.) except for weapons and armor.

This is with ToB installed, my problem is that my character missed out on the initial 14%MR, and was only given the 1% per level. I have a party of 5 of my own PC's plus Vic, and did they 'ol copy save game trick with the multiplayer saved game- could that have anything to do with it?

So is it SK for me then or is this a bug or a misprint?

In ToB manual it simply states:

Wizard Slayer:
Starting at 20th level, the WS gains 5% MR every second level. He continues to gain 1% for every odd level.

Nothing about the initial MR.

Also: Necklace: Amulet of Seldarine

A reward from the Elven Queen Ellesime for saving the Tree of Life, this amulet protects the wearer against all forms of enchantments and spells.

STATISTICS:
+10% to Magic Resistance
+1 bonus to all saving throws

Usable By:
All

ALL???? yippeeee, more MR for my WS :D

Is this a misprint???

Cheers

Sorry dude, I've never played a Wizard Slayer. :(

I can tell you that the amulet can be worn by ws. I can also tell you that the 10% cumulative spell failure only applies to mages, not priests and druids and that it has a fairly short duration. Still in ToB it is a pretty good class. Your MR will be very high.
