Mages help me!!
I am a level 15 true neutral mage..While in the Host Tower of Luskin in chapt. 2 i picked up the Host Tower Lab Notes... in which it tells of a magical item you can create with a gargoyal's skull and a slaad's tounge.... it plainly states that it's not clear what spell is the catylist for summoning the item.. but the last line says "Dispell the magical essance of the items to reap your reward"... i took that to mean that Dispell Magic would work... well i've tried lesser Dispel, dispel magic, and greater dispel.. and none of them work.. they just end up back firing on me and hit me with like 30 fire damage each time.. has anyone done this?... does anyone know the correct spell to use?

sence i had trouble deleting this post i guess i'll just update it and say that i no longer need the help... i didn't figure out what my problem was other than i never tried to make the item right there where i found the notes in the Host Tower.. i've been trying to do so in the wizards lab inside the shop in chapt.3... that might have something to do with it.. either way it only creates a rod i already have and don't use.. so it's pretty pointless for me to keep trying.
