I've made it to the unknown world, spoken with The One and agreed to help him with the Elders...spoke with the Warleader and returned the Mandalorian's head to him. Now from what I gather on Bioware forums I need to speak with one of the Elders to get them to chant to let me into their temple so I can snag the book and return it to The One. But there are no Elders anywhere to talk to! I've looked ALL OVER the map, 99.99% positive and can find no one else to talk to besides Luo, the Loremaster, the Warleader and The One.
Out of desperation I've tried a few times to defy The One but have ended up getting whomped by the ensuing rush of rancors, elite warriors and The One himself.
Any help?
Stuck on Unkown world - no Elders to talk to!
Go to the Temple area and immediatly turn right and follow the wall, there should be an opening of a trail for you to follow, check the ship wreck for ship parts and watch out for mines. the trail will lead you to the north beach where the Elders are.

Yah, I know where their compound is, I just couldn't find one to talk to. Finally figured out that if you talked to The One first, you don't get to talk to an Elder until The One is dead. Killed The One's escort w/ several well placed mines finally and am about to beat the game. Thanks for the reply though.
I finally beat it w/ that character, using some cheapness that someone posted over at Bioware's forums. I tanked up w/ some sort of Mandalorian armor that was +13 (I can't use stasis field while wearing it, but that didn't work on Malak anyways), switched my off-hand weapon from the ancient Wookie blade to the poison one you find in the Sith temples in an attempt to affect Malak's stats enough that he couldn't hit me, kept a beefed up lightsaber in my right hand and I think just made sure that I was wearing the best equipment I had for the fight.
The real trick is that when you push the start button, and move over to your equipment screen you can use a medkit/shield/stims in the same round you attack. So I switched on my shield as soon as it was dropped every time, used a medkit every time I got hit (which was significantly less often this time around) and pumped up with stims (you can inject all 3 in one round using this trick) whenever they wore off. In this manner, after using destroy droid on the jedi in the tanks I was able to go toe to toe w/ Malak and it wasn't very hard at all. I don't feel too bad about winning in this manner, since it was a Bioware employee who posted the tip which makes it seem like it was inteded rather than an "exploit". Good luck!

The second time I beat the game, I was in no mood to deal with Malak and his ridiculously devstating attacks. As a result, much cheapness ensued. I found that if I just started running, Malak would follow me. But after a few seconds of running and not fighting, my character would fall out of combat mode. Thus, my Force Points would swiftly regenerate. I just ran around until my FP was full again, then kept using force wave, throw lightsaber, and heal. Easy but tedious.
I know you... A pace, a glance, a turn of the head, the flash of your throat as you breathe... -- they were all my spies!
well even though i'm sure everyone knows this, but i'm gonna mention it again, make sure to use force breach to destroy the jedi bodies so that Malak can't regen. As for tips how to beat Malak, i'm a big coward so all three times i played i used a soldier char though different jedi classes each time. The trick is to save some level-ups so that you can use it to automatically fill your life and not have to rely on life-support packs all the time. Master speed force power is also crucial since it gives you two extra melee attacks and helps you run around and destroy the jedi bodies. And on a side note, i think the melee weaps are Bacca's blade and a souped up lightsaber
