Who is the PC if game was started as multiplayer ?????

Post by Rael FalDara »

Hi guys,
I wonder whether someone could tell me who is regarded as the "Player Character" if the game was started as a multiplayer game. I created 3 chars, and intend to fill the party with half of my BG2 party ;=) (namely Jaheira,Edwin,Minsc). And yes, Im a cheater since I installed a happy group script like in BG2 :) ))))). Now since I created a F/C I don't wont this char to be viewed as the PC - since I would have 3 chars being able to cast priest spells later on..... ( the F/C, Jaheira and either the mage or the F/T). Any ideas ????????

Hello. :)

I haven't created multi game in BG1 (yet!), so I can only give idea from BG2. I think it's more or less the same, anyway.

Your main character will be the one in the top left slot of the multi player game. The one with the big *tick* in front.

I'll try it myself if someone else comes up with better idea. I'm in my office, so no game for me till later! :D

I guess it depends on how you created your three custom characters. If you made each one from the PC slot and saved them to a character file to bring into a MP game later on then they should all have the special spell abilities. But if you make all three from the same MP screen only the first one should have the priest spells. I hope you can see the difference in the two ways of making custom chars. BTW, you can copy/paste the mp saved game to the single player saved game folder if you don't want to hassle with the MP interface. I often play with three custom chars in both BG1 and BG2 and leave the other three slots for the games NPC's - it's a nice compromise between the two ways of playing.
