i've got myself as a sorceror, got aerie, imoen, minsc, keldron, and got anomen. i thought that he would be useful since he's also a spellcaster, but so far i haven't used him much and as a fighter minsc and keldron are much better, but for now he's ok i guess. i wish i could replace anomen with yoshimo and get edwin instead of imoen. in that case all my problems are solved.
anyhow, is there any good artifacts in the prison i should be aware of?

By 'prison' do you mean the intro dungeon, or do you have somewhere else in mind?

Oh, I see what you're saying now.
Um, ouch.
You might've gotten it a bit cheaper in SoA. Of course, Paladins and Bards with high Charisma and reputation often get what they buy at reduced price. You might want to consider having Keldorn initiate purchases of equipment (i.e.: have him talk to shopkeepers). BTW, what's your current reputation?
Anyways, there's nothing that i can think of off-hand for thieves, but did you finish the puzzle in the vampire maze for the Ioun Stone (I believe it was lavender) that'll come in handy for mages. Since Aerie can equip helmets, I would suggest (if you got it) that you give it to Imoen. Since you are talking about ToB (and not SoA; my bad), there are a few thief items (though not as many) I can mention about.

There is a hood for thieves in Watcher's Keep that is difficult to get, which (if I remember right, this being from memory) allows a thief to be immune to backstabbing. There's another that is in a side area of a plot-necessary place that upgrades some skills (an amulet of some sort).
Also, what do you plan to have Immy equip for a weapon? There are various choices, though additional proficiency is quite limited. At the least, I DO suggest you give her "Single Weapon" fighting if you're going to equip her with a single-handed melee weapon, so that she gets a 1-point bonus to her armor class, which may help a little to keep her alive in combat.
BTW, did you come across a scabbard (as in sheath for a sword) in the Saradush dungeon?

good thing i had a saved game in lazarus shop. i approached him with keldron - the price was the same. my rep is 14.
as for imoen. i actually hav her with a bow. don't want her to get to a close combat. i have my three fighters equiped with melee weapons, and three spellcaster with long range weapons. since imoen has the elven armor i've put the archimage robe on myself (i even wore it after the shower
) - sorceror.
as for the scabbard, i got it. what use of it for? i also got the ioun lavender. oh, and i got starfall ore. what is it?!
btw, thanx for the help.

Scabbard and starfall ore (plus the ioun stone, I think) are all used in recipes. The ioun stone is used in a very nice recipe; the others I don't remember (didn't have any chars that could use them, last replay)

You can also try to "deserve" a lower price
(translation: keep a high reputation and talk to merchants having a party leader with high CHA score..)

Well, Lazarous will appear in a different town about a chapter or two later. By then, you'll be able to work up your reputation through a few quests. If you can't get it to go too much higher, you can always donate to a temple (which will be a little costly, depending upon the reputation that you already have, to the one that you are aiming for having. So, if you're at, say Rep 16 and hope to get to 18, it'll cost less than if you tried to work it up to 18 at this point.
Sound's like you've practically got all the important things in Saradush. Good luck.

i've finished all my quests in saradush (for now).
i was heading to the forest of mir. i decided to give it up and to it later 'cos the fight with that so called gorion and the rest of the vampires was to much for me (i really hate those vampires), so i changed it to the marching mountains. so far so good, the fire giants aren't that though. annoying, but not tough.
