Does anyone know a good site where all the abilities are described ?
i mean a description which also gives hits which is more usefull or at least some hints about that
playing tob first time and dont want to test and try the manual doesnt really help me
by the way which ones would you use for a mage/fighter ...
Abilities and descriptions
Mage / Fighter could, depending on how he was played, use the extra spells, plust hardiness / MR (1/2 points each only), a few of the critical hit ones, and lots of greater whirlwind. I don't remember off-hand what quest level spells he'd want, however.
edit:
Dug out my manual. you'd probably want energy blades and summon planetar. I think you'd want to save lots of slots for enchanted weapon immunity, mantle, improved mantle, and maybe black blade. Also tensers transform is always nice.
(Note that my idea of a fighter/mage is someone who fights, using magic to improve his fighting. Your ideas and therefore mileage may vary)

For a ighter mage? Well, definitely hardiness, Greater Whirlwind, Comet (always pick the Comet, I've never gone wrong with the Comet), and Energy blades.
Itch. It itches to feel you cleave to the song of my mettle,
to yield and surrender in nearly every way;
if not in all the important ways.

When I play a Fighter/Mage (or a multi-class Cleric), I like to use Critical Strike and Energy Blades at the same time. It can inflict over 200 points of damage per round, and you can attack multiple opponents in the same round. Hardiness and Magic Resistance are both useful, but do a little bit of homework and find out what Deathblow can do before you pass it up--check out some of the "cheese guides" that have been posted on these forums. All of the HLA Mage spells are good, but I think Dragon's Breath and Improved Alacrity are the best.

Personally, I don't like comet. About the only time I ever use it is with fire resistant / immune monsters. And that rarely.
