The Prince might die first because the monsters target him because they think he is the most powerful. I know when I fought Draconis, he kept hitting the Prince even after he knocked him down, which allowed me to whack Draconis. Yes, the Prince died and my Planetar didn't, but that was only because he took a hell of a beating and allowed me to win the fight. I love Planetars and they have great spell abilities, but they aren't as strong melee-wise as the Princes. Overall its close and really its best to just have both.

*Sigh*

I to was under the impression of a new form for Shapeshifters… Greater Wolfwere would have been nice, its already in the game (Mage: Shapeshift) and a logical next step, becoming more Wolf than Man. Given the exp cap in ToB G Werewolf doesn't cut it.

Shapeshifter was wicked to play in SoA never had a problem(had Keldorn, Jan and "Buffy the Undead Hunter" in party). Insect Spells and Fire Seeds ment you never had to worry about Mages and if the going get tough: stone/iron + Shapeshift ...fun to RP, blood spills and you go rabidgrrr

Just a thought...

If I want increase my Greater Werewolf’s stats (THACO, AC) in ToB, would it be a good idea to dual as a fighter. Would the changes affect Greater Werewolf or are the form’s stats fixed?

The stats are fixed. This is also proved by the fact that the stats are the same no matter what level you are.

Is the Stalker/Cleric still available in ToB? If not, could you still create one if you go from start in SoA? I've read somewhere that they've removed it in ToB. The same for the Archer/Cleric (in this case it hardly matters, since the Archer get no bonus with Slings anyway).

The planetar is much stronger! Immunity to weapons, vorpal hits, more hitpoints, spells, see invisibility. The only good EPrince is Sunnis/Earth, because of Stoneskin...

Anyone who says druids are weak haven't seen a druid hit level 15. 6 level 7 spells (especially when some are quest spells) is devestating. Insects are the best mage fighter in the entire game.

And one not often mentioned:
Pixie Dust. It's much more available than mass invisibility (get it earlier on, and worse other spells to sacrifice). Jaheira is always in my party if just for Pixie Dust and the insect spells. Many battles turn surprisingly easy when I can set placements perfectly because the enemy can't see me.

Yes, Druids get a MASSIVE infusion of power at level 15. Unfortunately they are also about 10 levels below everyone else at that time. For a Multi (like Jaheira) this *BITES*. At least one game in two, she never reaches Druid 15.

Invisibility 10' Radius: Level 3 arcane spell. Makes party Invisible (ruined on attack). Lasts all day. Plenty of other good (better) spells at this level.

Mass Invisibility: Level 7 arcane spell. Makes party Improved Invisible (not lost on attack) and is therefore a much better anti-Mage spell than Spell Turning (you cannot target Improved Invisible creatures with spells). Level 7 has some extremely powerful alternatives (Project Image comes to mind).

Pixie Dust: Level 5 divine (Druid) spell. Makes party Invisible (lost on attack). Actually an exact copy of Invisibility 10' Radius. Level 5 Druid spells also feature Insect Plague, Iron Skins and True Seeing, which are among the best Druids ever get...

Unless you are a glutton for punishment, I would dual the Druid the *INSTANT* he/she hit 14th level. It takes 1.5 MILLION XP to go from 14th to 15th level! That same amount will more than get you to 16th level in just about any other class.

*sigh*, That's the rub. A single classed druid does not get any special abilities until 15th level (3million XP). Since it is VERY DIFFICULT to exceed 6 million by the end of ToB, I would say dualing the Druid at this point is a waste. Am I the only one that thinks the Druidic XP table bites?

If you dual out of the Druid at 18 you will NOT make it. Basically, you start running out of XP after 6,000,000. YES, there are some cheesy ways to get more, but 8,000,000 seems to be considerably over the amount of XP you will realistically have when you face the ToB endgame. Hence, if you have 15+ levels in Druid, you are committed to that class for the rest of the game.
