Ranger/Cleric stronghold

Post by UncleScratchy »

Started a new game with a multiclass half-elf ranger/cleric (neutral good) main char and thought she would get a choice of either the ranger or cleric strongholds. But it seems that I'm getting the same old Temple quests as usual. Is there a bug in the game that doen't allow a multiclass ranger/cleric to be recognized as a cleric. When I go to see the guy in the first temple (the one that gives you the Unseeing Eye quest if you are not a cleric) he just says that my char missed an opportunity. Hope the ranger stronghold is still open to her.

For some reason, the game doesn't recognize the fact that your character is a Cleric if he or she is Cleric/Ranger. I had the same problem when I played one. I preferred the Cleric stronghold over the Ranger stronghold, so I "cheated" to get it.

The same thing happened to me with a dual-classed Ranger/Cleric. I think you may be able to get the temple stronghold if you do the quest before regaining the ranger levels, but I'm not sure.

In any event, yes, this is a known bug. It hasn't been fixed by any patch and Baldurdash doesn't address it.

Thanks for the replies folks. Guess I'll go for Moondoggy then. Does getting one of the cleric strongholds give you anything other than gold and xps?

I heard the quest for Talos gave you the chance to be very devious and evil without appearing evil. (To me a truly evil genius would have a very high reputation while being destructive. Mu-ha-ha-ha.... )
