Half-Orc Fighters

Post by Izgoth »

I just made a little test by playing trough the prison part of the game with a berserker half-orc with maxed str, dex and con. I must say he is just awesome. He gets 7hp per level!! and is tough in all other ways too. I just dont like playing with half-orcs very much.

Why not, half-orc is the best class their is, if playing a fighter and don't want to ramnce.
My half-orc fighter was great using halberts and 2handed swords.
Killed everything in no time.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

I have just started a game with a Half-Orc Kensai! He's gonna be one bad mother! :) I was thinking about doing a Hal-Orc Priest of Talos... that might be cool as well.
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

Ithil Sprandorn, Lord Mage of Saskar, said to prisoner wizard Thorstel

Half-orcs are supposed to be able to romance Viconia.

Yup, but you need a patch (from, say, Baldurdash).

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I'm about midway with my half-orc kensai. Except for magic attacks, he is unstopable. Most of the time, he shreds apart the enemies he's attacking and the amount of critical hits is awesome....damage in teh 50-60 range on a crit! Just wait till you guys get some boots of speed and gridles that increase strength. The only problem with mine is an intolerance for magic, missles, and general getting hit too much. Even barkskin doesn't help. Oh well, I guess its the trade off for uber offense.

Happy Gaming

if you had made your half-orc fighter a barbarian, you get more hit points even. berserkers normally use a 1d10 to roll hit pionts, barbarians roll 1d12. I'm guessing an orc with 19 constitution gets even more bonus to his hps as well.

I just made a party actually, with a half-orc barbarian, and also a half-orc priest of talos :) . Needless to say, my babarian is just one shotting everything in irenicus dungeon.

I used shadowkeeper to change the models of all my characters too, lol. It's hillarious. My barbarian is an 8 foot tall green troll. My Cleric has a 'death knight' model. My sorcerer is a mind flayer, and my monk is a 'fat man' lol. You can do this in shadowkeeper by going to the 'appearance' tab not the portrait, but the other one, and there is a pulldown menu with all kinds of creatures listed. Choose one and that is what your character will look like in game. You could even be a dragon :) seems like that would be hard moving around through doorways though lol.

Half orcs sound cool, but do the girdles of str and Crom Faer make the 19 str useless??

True, getting a girdle does kind of waste the 19 str, but then again, having a strength of 22 is better than 19.
