WeiDu site

Post by RepDetect61850 »

Hy, everyone.

I've been lurking for many months and so I tought it'd be kind of polite to introduce myself.

I've been trying to get some of WeiDu's mods, in order to "spice up" the game, but so far I've been unable to visit the site. It's like the whole thing (http://www.weidu.org) went down or something like that.

Is there another site where I could get those mods?
Thanks in advance for your time.

welp. http://www.forgottenrealms.net is home to many *popular* mods which use the weidu installer.

Hi, RepDetect. Welcome to GameBanshee! :)

Hmmm, I can actually use your link to access the WeiDu site. It could be just too much traffic or something?

I honestly don't know. I've been trying for the last two days and it nevers works.
I'm beginning to suspect there is something wrong with my bloody browser. Otherwise, I simply don't know.

weidu.org's working fine over here. Try opening a DOS window/command prompt and doing "tracert weidu.org" and see if there's a problem between your computer and the weidu.org server.

And that link provided above should be forgottenwars.net, not realms. :)

Alright, I did it. Basically, tracert.exe has found ten "routes" out of thirty, each one with a strings of numbers. What now?

If it ended perfectly normally, without a bunch of entries with asterisks inbetween, then you probably should be able to connect to it fine.

Thanks for the tip, but I still thik something is wrong. The first ten entries are ok, I guess.... lots of numbers in them.
The 11 through 30 entries anyway, do have lots of asterisks and I'm still unable to access the site. Other than using a different web connection on a different computer, I don't know what to do. It is... frustrating.
