Asylum Dungeon: stuck after "Apparition Area"

Post by PhosMagos »

Hy there!

I have installed BG2 and ToB with the latest patch. Now I played until the Spellhold labyrinth. After i collected the two horns from the Minotaurs I entered the exit.

Next level is a small arena with some cobolds. I kill them all and an apparition occurs. After I answer the questions, he seems to teleport me away.

Now my problem: After a short loading period I see nothing than black. The menu bars appear normal. If I switch so map mode, i can see an area, but if I go back to the game, it is disappeared, just black. If I activate my own character an go to the map screen, he is stuck in the arena with the kobolds, but also just a black screen. The apparition still seems to be there, because if I move my mouse around, the icon changes to dialogue mode. But clicking does not change anything.

I have tried: Restarting the game, going back to some other areas an try again, but nothing helps.

Can anyone tell me, what to do to go further?

Or has anyone got the area code of the following area?

Thanx for any help!

*greetings* PhosMagos

I've had an issue like this in my games...

First thing I would check, in map mode, where the frame for the screen is. You may be able to double-click the area of game play and be able to continue.

If you are (un)lucky like I was, the whole screen shifts right and there's nothing you can do to stop it. My only solution for this was to reboot my computer. Quitting and restarting BGII didn't solve the issue for me either.

For all I know, the Baldurdash patch may fix this but without internet access at home I haven't been able to test it.
