sorry this is two days late - i've been busy lately, what with school starting up again, but i have been following this thread. there is no npc or potion source healing in the fields of slaughter. there is actually a way to avoid fighting anyone in the first screen of that area altogether - but you've gone ahead and done it so there's really no point in posting that here.
in any case, there will be a healer on the top floor (not the towers) of the severed hand (unless you have qualms about getting healing from a banite). and yes, it would be good if you were able to carry over a good deal of your potions to chapter 6, but it isn't that important that you won't be able to finish the game - but that's just me talking, and i had tons of potions leftover from the previous chapters, even if i didn't use most of them.
by the way, i saw your list of questions thingy and it's quite interesting - i'll get around to filling that out some time.
64 day rest!? oh well, the game clock only seems to matter to me anyway.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I feel a bit stupid. I didn't realize that I could go back to Kuldahar from the severed hand. It's a two day round trip, but that's better than resting for 64 days. Plus I got to unload a lot of my unidentified items. Good to know there is an npc healer in the severed hand.

Heavens, I almost forgot. Thanks for the note. I appreciate knowing others are reading. One has tried to tell himself that he did not care that others have not praised his genius and bravado. That they have not hailed his witty narrative. But one does, so sad.
