missing path in fell wood?

I'm at the center of Fell Wood - where the corpse is - and cannot continue through. There is only one exit - the same by which I entered and it takes me out of the wood. I've completed the former quests including the barrow wight and am trying to get to the ghost lights. I've left and returned several times. There is no south east exit!!

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Here's the best advice I can give... been so long since I've been there.

Do you have a character with sufficient points (don't know how much exactly you need; sorry) in Wilderness Lore? If you have character like that (a Druid, Ranger, or even a Barbarian with a Wisdom bonus, who has points in the skill), then you may be able to tell which path is the real one. That's the best definite advice I can give.

If I remember correctly, though, you take the path on the bottom right from there, and the rest I don't honestly remember. This is speculative, so I can't say that this is for sure.

only one path is here!

Hi -- Sorry, but to clarify, there is only one path here. I have a druid with Wilderness Lore 13 and he's helped in other areas of the wood. I've seen maps which tell me to take the SE path, but there IS NO PATH to the SE - only the one E where I came in - which takes me out of the wood. Could this be a glitch in the game? If so what do I do??

talk to tahvo first

Well, I figured out the problem, in case anyone else comes across this. You need to resport to Tahvo and tell him you've completed the Barrow Wight quest. When you return to the Wood after that, the SE path will suddenly be available!
