House Telvanni wont let me go!

Post by Redrum Frank »

Any way to get expelled from house Telvanni after you are their master?? (I want to switch and get a stronghold closer to.. to anything.)
I tried sleeping in their beds, and killing the every last one of them; am i right in thinking i'll just have to load a saved game from before they made me master of cheap real estate?

It will do no good anyway. No other House is going to adopt you even if you're expelled. The choice regarding the House cand be made only once and forever. You should already have heard it if you are listening to people (the little secret most often)

I just like the Telvanni house ;)
If you think you're far from everything, just use a little spell called "Divine Intervention".
Voila, you're in Wolverine Hall.
Enter, then take the left door, get up the stairs enter the facind door.

There you go, Mage Guild.

It's really not that bad ;)
Plus, telvanni rewards are the best :D

Another great use for divine intervention if you have tribunal is:

Mage guild --> Vivec ----> Divine Intervention ---> Ebonheart, right next to the Council Chamber ;)

Really, Divine/almvisi Intervention + Mark / Recall = Easy travel.

It IS possible to belong to two Houses, or at least it was, I don't know if they changed it in a patch.

However, this will only work if you are in Telvanni or Redoran, and you can only change to Hlaalu. The key is the assassination of the Duke's brother. Once you kill him and talk to the Duke, he will say "Well, now you are the grandmaster of House Hlaalu." which will result in you being a member of House Hlaalu. You will NOT be grandmaster, but you can do all the quests as long as they don't interfer with your old house, which might be the case.
You can also build the second Stronghold, but the Duke won't issue another contract, so you have to steal it from him.

It's said the patch has changed it. Anyway, it was admitted to be a bug. You are supposed to belong no more than to one House and not be able change them.

Thanks for the responses!!
Alas, found out after a few hours there was no way..
My old char dissapeared in a destructive restore, so I may have been thinking of that double-house glitch (I played for quite a while before I got the patch)..
Anyway, I'm still holed up in Balmora in Ra'virr's with all my spoils. Just not enough storage in that stronghold.

Take some house mod, there are several just for Telvani, IIRC. Then the stronghold will be only a matter of status and pride.
There's also plenty of houses becoming free in course of one or another quest. The House strongholds are pretty isolated anyway.
And what would you think about Hlormaren? Quite a bit of room and space, with propylon network at the side, some undertenants in the basement wouldn't bother you even if allowed to live. The same or even better with Andasreth, just a bit further from conventional transport routes. On the East coast there isn't any that decent ancient stronghold, though - all have Daedras bound to respawn.
