heres a new twist, while in nulb, talked to the smith apprentice, he offers to show me where the smiths stash is for a price, didnt pay him but found the stash anyways, just for kicks i took the stash anyway with the smith standing there, then had the smith join my party, this guy has a 103 hit point status, any way, we left the smith area and the whole town attacked my party, except the smith, and the smith would not fight the town peeps on his turn.

to finish this, i went back via savegame and hired the smith without stealing his goods, and the town was peaceful once again
