Fallen Paladin???

Post by fendall »

Just started the game am in the tavern and was asked to join in on a drinking contest. Wasent even my Paladin that was asked or participated even!!! My Ranger won the contest had a con of 20. Now I see that my Paladin has fallen and will not be able to cast spells or gain any levels as a paladin till he has been attoned???
Has this happened to anyone else? Or is it just another bug?

I have no clue about this, but since this is a D&D game, I would guess that you might be able to redeem yourself from that church in Hommlet by fulfilling some task that the man gives you. I have never played a pally yet though, so it is only a guess.

As a Pally u have to keep a certain behaviour and join only ppl as yourself.
If you look at your reputation log you'll see that winning the drinking contest is against church so here's why you are fallen.

You can turn back your paladin for 6000 gold in the church.

I wouldn't spend 6,000 just to remain a gimped cleric or an even worse tank.

I'd just stay a Fighter, and go get drunk with my Ranger buddy...

Losing your Paladinhood over a drinking contest is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of in my life (or, pretty darned close).

Sorry it happened to you.

Paladin's...to smite or not to smite

Has anyone been able to get the smite evil ability to work?
I know the detect evil takes a while (as per dnd rules) but the smite evil seems to provoke an attack of opportunity and then doesnt allow you enough time to attack with it. Is this another known bug perhaps?
