Screenshots: real or posed?

Post by ruet »

I was just looking at your KotOR screenshots page. Some of the shots looked decidedly odd.

eg. fighting the group of dark jedi on Tatooine with HK-47 in the team...surely you would have had to pass them on your way to buying HK-47... or am i wrong?

a few other shots looked like they were in situations i hadn't experienced in my run through those areas (ive been through the whole game once and half way a couple of times). I'm simply wondering if theres a load of stuff i didnt know about and have missed or whether the shots are posed.

or perhaps theyre just like promo shots?

I await your reply with anticipation :p :D ;)

You may wait for a reply longer than anticipated, unless you PM Buck, the site owner, with a copy of your post. ;) His website, his screens.

A side issue of interest: roughly three-and-a-half years ago, when LucasArts unveiled a promo pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha build of KotoR at E3, I was part of the press that got a look at the results, under wraps. We were shown a scene outside a desert spaceport, with perhaps fifteen characters engaged in various occupations and discussions. As you approached near any group, if conversing, they'd stop, and see what you wanted; or on occasion, try and draw you into the conversation. We were all fascinated about this feature, which LucasArts boasted would be standard in all future RPGs. :D
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
