Disappointed with Bloodmoon [Spoilers]

Post by Laenor »

Well, while i enjoyed Tribunal as much as i enjoyed Morowind's mainplot, beside the first part of bloodmoon (when you have to travel through the whole island and restore the ancient stones) i found it well...

Not that great.

Nothing really usefull for a high level character there.

I'm curently doing the east company quests, and it seems promising.

While i was driven into tribunal plot, beside all the skaal background (great, indeed !) i found bloodmoon plot .. Boring !

Even the last boss hold no surprises, and an easy fight.

At least, almarexia was HARD to beat.
The hunter felt with ease

The only difficulties i had was fighting the hordes of werewolves in the labyrinth.

Even the two "funny" rewards (Summon bear / summon wolf) seem bugged :

I cast the spell and nothing happens.
Magicka is lost, though..

The last rewards just... suck !

The mace you get after restoring the stones is the only item worth a damn i've found so far in the main quest (apart from Mantle of woe... and it's not even part of the main quest !)

I found the illuminated order much more enjoyable on the other hand, great plot, usefull but not overpowered items, even for a lvl 50 character.

i've still got to do the "Moon spawn" mod, i've heard it rocks, so i ll try it out once i m done with the east colony quests..

What level is your character on?? I know you're supposed to be a high level character to go there (stupid me, I went there with a brand new character on level 2) so maybe... you were too high if you thought it was easy??

Hmmm, I had a lot of fun there even though the enemies were really tough for me to beat. Haven't finished it yet, though. :D
Me say – two minutes. It kill him in two minutes. You make bet?

Right now, i'm level 54 ;)

So i don't really fear battles, but i'm always looking for some good stories.
And bloodmoon plot wasn't that great (well, according to me) ;)

Almalexia was hard to beat ? I killed her in 6 or 7 strikes at the most. To me it was Tribunal that was dissapointing. I've had more trouble with that little woodelf in the templecourtyard, the one all dressed up in ebony, then i had with Almalexia.

Well, i found that little wood elf w/ full ebony to be quite easy.
On the other hand, almalexia was much harder for me:

Hitting her with Trureflame, she would loose like 2-3% of her life per hit maximum, while her sword would tear through my 400 hp, 292 Armor with ease.

Now, i didn't use potions (Beside restore magicka ones..)
It would prolly be an easy fight with ~10 Restore health potion (with an alchemy skill of ~90 and an Int of 161, you can create some powerfull potions... ;) )

Nah, you just need more strength. All the exquisite clothing i found along the way (pants, belt, shirt), i used for enchanting with fortify strength constant effect spells. Being a level 88 Dark Elf, with somewhat around 200 strength really leaves Almalexia without a single chance. :D

I had 120 strength when i fought her ;)
All my natural stats beside luck are @ 100 ;)
Of course, my heavy Armor skill is 100, my long blade skill aswell..
Well, weird ;)

Well, there you have it. It's makes a hell of a lot difference how much damage your character does when he strikes with strength 200 or strength 120. I also need to repair my sword much more often because i hit much harder than i normally would. That's why i always carry a bunch of hammers and thongs with me.

Amalexia falls quite easily with dwarven darts. ;)
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
