Twisted Rune

Post by Seabass »

At what general level should your party be before travelling here. Is it even worth giving it a shot before you've gone to the Asylum and back?. I'm a paladin at lvl 13 (undead hunter), and I think I've done most if not all the quests availible for my class except for the final once to get access to Brynnlaw. I've played the game once already, and I missed it, so I'd like to go in and tear the place up this time. I have myself wielding the holy avenger, minsc with the flail of ages, korgan dualing the frostreaver and you know the other + 3 axe (but it gives fire damage instead of cold). I got Jaheira as my druid type of character, edwin as my mage, and Haer D'alis as archer/mage.... would I be able to even do any damage to the punks in the rune or what??

You want your characters as high-end as possible if only for the high level spells they have; I'd say level 17 minimum before tackling this; so by the time you get back from the Underdark and have finished off whatever subquests you had left, then try it.

Yeah well that shit is in the Sauhagian citey
and by the time Im out of the Underdark I'll have the Crom Fayer, the Equalizer, the Silver sword, The Gesen Bow, the wave, and all sorts of crazy ass shit. So Yeah I think its better to do it after. But yo, last game the cloak of mirroring was all I needed, I got korgan dual wielding the two axes, and he rocked everyone. The last fight with Irenicus he lost 10 HP, and thats all that happened. He went through entire Beholder dungeons by himself man, fucken crazzz... So yeah, I think Im going to wait with it, and that demi lich is fucken ez when yer the slayer... so thats a piece of cake. Some guy said you could pick pocket Kangaxx in his Lich form and get the Ring of Gaxx, and then get another one from the body of the demi lich, going to try that this time around....

Go to the Bridge Dist where you find the men who buried the fellow in the graveyard. There is a door near there that will open with a Rogue stone.

Seabass! I totally agree with ya!
Irenicus was so cake! All I needed was a True Sight by Keldorn to kick his elven slayer @$$.

Kangaxx can be way easier. Just cast Spell Immunity: Abjuration and put your mage right next to him. Then hit him from distance. I'll take that Ring of Gix, or Gaxx.

Another thing, I think it's a shame Blackrazor appears so late in the game. That item is bitchin' dude! Dual wield with Celestial Fury, it's great, especially if you have katana ++, long sword ++, and two weapon style +++.

Yeah I never get the blackrazor, since I always have to play the insufferable nice guy. And about that demi lich thing, I herd about that strategy, but see I had 19 in rep and I was on the verge of loosing korgan, dont wanna go an do that now would I, so turning into the slayer seemed fitting I s'pose. And that friggin door is closed even though I have 5 rouge stone, what the hell is up with t hat??

I've heard other poeple have had this problem ,I believe you have to have it in your back pack not 1 of your bags.I could be wrong.I do know if you have all 5 in your back pack it will take all of them: or aleast it did in my game.

regarding blackrazor, you can pickpocket the tear from the genie and keep the sword..and it will count as you had given it up!

I'll keep that in mind.... I herd there was a way to keep your stuff when you import a character, pausing or something.... Then it could be handy
