As my review on GameBanshee repeatedly notes, this is one of the most buggy games to come along in a very looooong time. I urged people not to buy it until the patch was out.

How can I be wise beyond my years, when I'm older than dirt? :D ;)

My understanding is that "a patch is under way." How long it will require to clear all the hurtles of Troika, Atari, and WOTC remains to be seen. I'd guess another 1-2 weeks, soonest, perhaps longer. Troika has said they want to address as many bugs as possible, and make the patch retroactive to affect saved games.

fable...forgive me for questioning your judgement...but its hard for me to believe that bugs are the reason my game wont run smoothe...when people talk its sounds like freaking Dr. Dre trying not to speak broken english...my mouse is lagy...and the intro movie (always one of my fav parts of the game) barely plays...is it possible that this game is so buggy that it wont even play on my system????

If you check out the TOEE boards, you'll find that people are experiencing everything from a hoard of very basic bugs that affect the rules-of-play, to all sorts of memory stealing, crash-to-desktop, graphics and audio disabling bugs. Don't believe me; go to the official forums, and have fun.
