Well, I downloaded a couple of portaits from PXG's Portraits, but when I want to put them on a PC/NPC, I somehow seems to fail in the attempt.
When I insert the picture, I get (where the picture should be) an image of a question mark....
The picture has the right size, I tried it with Bitmap and JPEG, bit it failed...
Would someone be so kind to check what Im doing wrong??
Portait problem
Hmm, I believe the "L" (or the "S") has to be in upper case.
Other than that I don't know, maybe the resolution...
Do you place it in the portrait directory? That's needed for PCs.
For NPCs I suggest you to just put it in the override folder.
Find the corrispondent name of the pic with Shadowkeeper or NI, for example it may be imoenL.bmp, and then place yours in the override with that name.
So even if a NPC uses different CRE files, all of those will reference the new picture.

My mistake that it is an "I" .
On my comp it has the name: imageL or imageS........so that isnt the problem.
I also put the pictures in the portait AND override directory. I use SK to change the pic of NPC's then. With other portraits, this never was a problem, but somehow I cant insert this image correctly..
I have portraits which are working like they are supposed to, but somehow this one (and 2 or 3 others) doesnt work...
Which is a shame, cause I really like the portrait...

It must be the resolution then.
The pics I downloaded are all in 16M colors, that is, 24 bit.
Indeed the readme says that larger pictures must be in bitmap format at 24 bit, while that one is at 16 bit.
You should try to change the resolution...

oh, I did it as well.
Maybe it was corrupted after all, a program couldn't open it.
So I just opened it with another one, converted in JPG and then again in BMP
But, wait a moment, it is NOT an archer!!!
