Sorceress Problem

Post by ArchMagus »

well im having an annoying problem with my sorceress, she is in level 4 right now and have 4 available spells, but i cant cast them, when i click on the casting icon their icons are gray, when i enter her spell book i see them available on the right side, but i cant click and enter them in her spell book, she has an intelligence of 16(+3)

please tell me whats the problem and how do i fix it

p.s
another weird problem, when i buy stuff, i see their price in gold and all but when i actualy buy them the gold that i lose seems twice as much, why is that?

I have not made a sorcerer before but I think there spell casting abilities stem from charisma.
You could remake your character or you could edit your saved game with Dalekeeper2 and change whatever you needed.
If you not sure about Dalekeeper2 just do a forum seach to show threads with this topic, I have one myself on their.
Hope this helps.

Dale Keeper2

Ok here it is, do a search in this forum with the search browser for Dale Keeper2 or Bards, because there are thirteen post on this subject. The Bard thread is my own that I posted a while back. Also I think you can find a link in the Sticky Thread at the top.
Hope this helps

just a reminder but you may already know that you need two point of charisma,( addional +1 ability modifier) for every spell level. Thus 12charisma for 1st, 14 for 2nd, 16 for 3rd and so on.
If any body sees an error in this let me know.

Basicly from what I remember you get 'I think' one stat point every six levels. I don't know what your charisma is and if you will level up spells faster than what you have.

About the monks, I only had a sixth level monk and he was also a twenty second level evoker wiz. I never once even used my monk abilities. I don't know about the class all that much, but I would love to hear someone elses imput on this.

here are the castin stat for all classes:

wizard & specialist wizard - int
sorcerer & bard - cha
cleric, druid, ranger, paladin - wis

you can add 1 ability point avery 4 character levels.

there's a spell called "eagle's splendor" that adds 1d4+1 cha for 1 hour per level.

there are also some items that raise char.
