which combo race/class ???

Mjello, I'm gonna start play the big M in a few days and i would like to get some feedback on my choise of char.
My plans are to make a DE battlemage, this is based upon my experience in playing a shaman in EQ and from playing BG, IW etc.
If anyone has anything pro/con I would like to hear from you.

You might want to perform a "search" on races and classes. You'd be surprised how many hundreds of useful recommendations you'll find.

well the thing to remember about morrowind is that classes here are not what they are in other games. Your class doesn't limit you. You can still cast spells if you pick a warrior, and you can go out in full heavy armor with the biggest axe you can get if you pick a sorcerer. The only thing that classes gives you are you major and minor skills. If you wanna play a battlemage character then I would deffinatly go with Breton with an Atronach sign. Give him some weapon and armor skills of your choice and give him whatever schools of magick that you wanna be able to cast or just pick the battlemage class, and by the time you are lvl 10 you are going to be a virtual killing machine.

I hate being beast races because of the whole helm and boots thing. I always pick the lady as my sign for the personality and endurance bonus. For race, I like Nord or Dark Elf.
